My journey began way back in November 1991 when I reported for duty at London Gatwick Airport as an Aircraft Guard with ICTS UK. What started as weekend position, soon turned into a fall time role, working across numerous departments within the aviation departments, before moving across to ICTS Europe joining the audit/ training and project teams. These roles allowed me to visit some exotic destinations along the way, Serra Leon, Gambia, Kosovo and Venezuela have made the journey interesting. I moved across to the Systems subsidiary back in 2005. 34 years later, the work is still interesting, constantly changing and throwing up some challenges along the way.

There have been a few over the last 34 years, all of which I am proud of, but the standout product must be our TravelDoc solution. All aspects of the project, from the initial idea, brainstorming, design, and testing with our partners would not have been possible without the complete focus, and dedication of the entire team. There have been numerous teams over the years, and I can certainly say without hesitation each and everyone has played a key part in making TravelDoc what it is today, checking over 1 billion documents a year!
Allowing passengers to prepare properly for their journey, safe in the knowledge their entry requirements are ok. Reducing operational stresses on the Airline and Ground Handlers at each touch point with the passenger during the check in and boarding.
Spending time with the family is key to happiness. Watching my wife play Padel, supporting my daughter in her swimmer competitions, and my son’s football games take up a big part of my spare time. Getting out in the fresh air in the Asturias hills and coastline clears the mind and keeps me and the dog fit. With whatever time is spare I head to the gym.
I have lived in Asturias, northern Spain for the last 10 years, which is truly home now.
