Here are some highlights of July’s immigration rule changes now live within the TravelDoc database and helping enable international travel:
- Nationals of Australia, New Zealand, The United States, Canada, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom have had the length of time they can obtain a visa on arrival in Laos extended from 30 days to 60 days.
- Nationals of Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Austria, Belgium, Spain, and Greece can now enter Laos without a visa for up to 15 days.
- A visa is not required for passengers from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau or Taiwan travelling to Laos for 15 days, provided they are travelling as part of tourist group run by a tour guide approved by the Lao Ministry of Education and Culture.
- Passengers who hold documents relating to staying in Portugal (including passports and visas) whose validity expires between 14 June 2024 and 29 June 2024 are accepted for travel until 30 June 2025, provided the passengers holds proof of having scheduled their renewal at the Portuguese Agency for Integration, Migrations and Asylum (Agência para a Integração, Migrações e Asilo, AIMA).
- Passengers who hold a passport with an Israeli stamp are not permitted to enter Yemen.
- Abu Dhabi International Airport’s name is changed to Zayed International Airport.
- The last of Myanmar’s Covid-19 related travel restrictions are removed.
- Paraguay and Trinidad and Tobago now have a mutual visa waiver agreement.
- Nationals of the United Kingdom now must apply for a visa to travel to Honduras.
- Jamaica has a new URL passengers must submit their Electronic Immigration/Customs Declaration (C5) Form on: https://enterjamaica.gov.jm/
- Venezuela has suspended all flights arriving from and departing to Panama and the Domincan Republic.
- Nationals of Botswana and South Africa now require a visa to enter or transit Ireland, unless they hold proof from their carrier that they booked their travel to Ireland prior to 10th July 2024.
- Nationals of Bangladesh are not permitted to enter or exit India through Bhubaneswar Biju Patnaik Airport (BBI).
